LONDON MOTH GALLERY

How Does It Work?

  • Well, it's funny you should ask! In a nutshell, male moths arrive intermittently throughout the year looking for a pretty female to impregnate.

  • The lucky female then lays her eggs in optimum nutrient-rich areas of your home. (Carpets, Clothes, food stores). One female moth can lay up to 300 eggs per year!

  • The eggs hatch and the larvae start eating immediately, once they grow sufficiently in size, they pupate into adults and the cycle continues.

  • Our moth traps work by cleverly mimicking the pheromone of a female moth (4 x the strength of a natural scent!), the male gets a whiff of this female 'perfume' and heads off in search of love. It then subsequently becomes trapped in the glue and expires.

  • The female moth, depressed and perhaps desperate, either leaves for pastures new or dies, resulting in NO more hungry larvae in your home..Congratulations, you have broken the breeding cycle!
